Leadership Development

We’re in the business of creating leaders.

We want to make sure we give our people the best opportunities for professional development possible. Our Leadership Development Program (LDP) strengthens skills while helping to build the careers of our associates. Over the course of 24 months, candidates enrolled in our Leadership Development Program will learn the business while being challenged in the areas of consumer packaged goods, retail, marketing and sales.

Mentorship Program

In conjunction with the comprehensive training and development program, a mentoring program is implemented to help ensure success. Each mentor is a member of the Acosta management team. The mentor serves as a coach and confidant to assist their LDP associate through each step of the program. Information and communication is exchanged formally and informally between the LDP associate and mentor.


Awards

Each year, 100 Acosta associates are recognized with The Chairman's Award for upholding Acosta’s seven values.

Associates are also entitled to our “Positively The Best (PTB)” recognition and award program. This program is designed to provide a means to enhance job satisfaction through associate recognition and reward within each office and/or workgroup.

The program provides a formal way for associates to say “Thank you” to each other for going the extra mile in living our culture and exceeding business, client or customer expectations.

Acosta associates are also encouraged to participate in Family Day. “A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children” is a national effort to promote parental engagement as a simple, effective way to reduce substance abuse among children and teens, and raise healthier children.

In recognition of this important event, Acosta associates may leave work two hours early on September 24th, to spend more time with their families and, of course, eat dinner together.
